The SAS® Environment Manager audit tables are retained in the data mart based on the value specified in the Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart property. They do not honor the value specified for the Number of Days of Audit Records in Data Mart, which is set to 365 by default. Changing the value for Number of Days of Audit Records in Data Mart has no effect on the length of time the audit records are retained. If you want to change the length of time the audit records are retained, you must change the value of the Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart. This has an impact on the retention period for both of the records created by the APM (audit, performance, and measurement) and ACM (agent-collected metrics) ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes.
To change the Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart property value, do the following:
Warning: Increasing the value of Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart causes the data mart to grow in size. It is strongly discouraged to increase this value unless you have sufficient space to accommodate the growing data mart. If your audit tables are taking up too much disk space, you might want to decrease the value of Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart.
